[i:3448teg4]Can I bias my Fender Blues Deluxe/Deville?
The Blues Deluxe/Deville were made prior to the Hot Rod Deluxe/Deville. They were discontinued in 1996 after the release of the Hot Rods. To answer the original question: Sorry, you can not. These amps do not have an adjustable bias control, they have a fixed resistor that sets the bias range. You'd need to have a tech install a bias pot, and use a bias probe like a Weber Bias Rite or Bias King.[/i:3448teg4][url:3448teg4]http://studentweb.eku.edu/justin_holton ... tml#whatis[/url:3448teg4]
[i:3448teg4]
One of the absolute most-asked-for or complained about things on ANY AMP EVER has been biasing the Blues DeVille to get the right tone from the power tubes. They do not have any kind of adjustment, and it is pretty much impossible to modify the bias supply over and over to get the right bias. (parts are too small and the printed circuit board is too delicate). [/i:3448teg4][url:3448teg4]http://www.torresengineering.com/fenbluesdevn.html[/url:3448teg4]
