DeArmond 7 cuerdas - Excelente guitarra tipo SG

February 3, 2000 -- While the 7-string guitar is not a new concept to jazz enthusiasts, it has become popular of late with the harder, edgier bands of today's rock market. Because of this, DeArmond will make its first jump into the realm of the 7-string this year with two new models, the Seven Star™ and the S67™.

Explains Keith Brawley, Vice President of Strategic Brands, "So many kids today are getting into 7-string guitars so that they can sound like their favorite bands. The problem is that if they are just starting out, they might not be able to afford the professional models that they see on stage. There just aren't a lot of quality 7-strings out there that they can afford.

"What we're doing," adds Brawley, "is we're taking the DeArmond body styles that are most popular with the younger market, and we're offering them in 7-string versions. Musicians are trying our guitars more and more, and are realizing that DeArmonds are the best value out there. Now we've got the best 7-string out there so more people can afford to play what they want."

The DeArmond Seven Star is based on the Jet Star™ body design. Its scale length has been increased to 25-1/2", up from the 24-3/4" of the Jet Star, which adds tension to the strings and gives the guitar the snap needed with its added low B string.

It has a solid mahogany body, which enhances the overall sound of its two high output, exposed-coil humbucking pickups. The Seven Star also has a set-in, solid mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard and pearl "dot" inlays, and an Adjust-O-Matic bridge with stop bar tailpiece.

Finish options include Black, Sapphire Blue Transparent or Crimson Red Transparent. Available for delivery in February of 2000, the Seven Star has a United States MSRP of $749.99.

Also new this year is the DeArmond S67 7-string guitar. The body of the S67 is based on the DeArmond S65, and has also had its scale length increased to 25-1/2" to compensate for the extra low B string.

The S67 is a straight ahead entry level 7-string. It has a solid agathis body for heightened sustain, a nato neck with rosewood fingerboard and pearl "block" inlays.

Like the Seven Star, the S67 has two high output exposed-coil humbucking pickups, an Adjust-O-Matic bridge and stop tailpiece. Finish options for the S67 include Black, Crimson Red Transparent, Pewter or Moon Blue.

Available for delivery in February of 2000, the S67 has a United States MSRP of $449.99.
